Thank you for expressing an interest in becoming part of the new leadership team at Dorset Council; a new unitary authority that will be formed from 1st April. These positions present an exciting and unique opportunity to set up and shape the new organisation and to develop social care, education and learning in a modern county authority. It is our ambition to create a unitary that provides integrated and asset-based social care services across Dorset in partnership with health, education, public health and other community services.
We work closely in partnership with our health partners who are already an Integrated Care System, however, there is more work to do to deliver improvement and create a seamless experience for all ages as they come into contact with social care, education and health provision.
We aim to be digitally innovative, organisationally entrepreneurial and focused on high quality and efficient outcomes, providing interventions that mean families and individuals are well supported. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be a strong team player, a transformational leader and performance orientated. As an operational leader and strategic thinker, you’ll play a key role in leading the next stage of the journey towards a strength-based approach to social care practice and delivering the Dorset Council values and culture. Your strong leadership, financial acumen, and collaborative and engagement skills will enable you to work alongside a wide range of partners and communities to deliver the ambitions of local people in Dorset.
If you’d like to be part of this evolving journey and have the vision, drive and experience to achieve our ambitions and deliver on our commitments, then we look forward to hearing from you.
Please ensure that your application is submitted before the deadline of midnight on Sunday 7th April 2019 and remember to highlight how your skills and experiences match our requirements.
